After relocating to Los Angeles in 2000, Jamey Tate has become one of the most sought after musicians in the jazz scene. He has recorded and/or toured with such artists as Mindi Abair, David Benoit, Al Jarreau, Justin Guarini, Patrick Williams, Melissa Manchester, Mike Vax and the Stan Kenton Alumni Orchestra, David Schwartz, Kim Richmond, Tierny Sutton, and Anna Callahan to name a few. He has also been busy in the film scene and can be heard on such films as “Heartbreakers”, “Beauty and Power”, and “The Perfect Husband”.

In addition to his accomplishments as an established musician, Jamey is also an astounding producer and writer, writing for commercial, TV, and film. You may have heard some of his music in commercials for AT&T, McDonald's, and more.

If you have never met Jamey Tate, it's probably because he's in his studio, busy grooving in the pocket, or on tour.
Jamey is an artist/clinician with Yamaha Drums and Vic Firth drumsticks. He uses Zildjian cymbals and Evans drumheads exclusively.
